Kenya Woodard For more than eight years, Kenya Woodard wrote about events both inside and outside the classroom as a staff writer for The (Fort Wayne, Ind.) Journal Gazette and The Daytona Beach (Fla.) News-Journal. In August 2010, Woodard – a graduate of Indiana State University – brought her talent for storytelling to Step Up For Students, a nonprofit organization that administers the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship for low-income children, where her tasks as public affairs officer include writing about its participants.
