    All interesting, but then you throw in the requirement that parents would need to make sure that their kids who are being disciplined for a violent act must stay in the home and complete their individualized learning packets. Here is where all your good stuff falls apart, because the last place these kids parents need to be is at home watching their kids…they need to be working. Now you not only penalize the student, but the parent. And one of the most important steps we can take to help break this cycle of poverty is by helping parents prepare for, find and keep jobs.

    How does one miss this critical point?
